Our Story

At Mason Whippy Dip, we’re more than just ice cream — we’re a family-owned business built on tradition, community, and a shared love for serving up sweet memories.

Our journey in the ice cream business began in 2009, and in 2022, we took the next step by purchasing what was formerly known as Tucker’s Whippy Dip from the Spaeth family. Since then, we’ve continued the legacy with the same small-town charm, great service, and classic soft-serve favorites our customers know and love.

The Hoff Family

We’re proud to be co-owned and operated by Dennis Hoff and Carly Hoff, a father-daughter duo and lifelong Mason residents. Both proud graduates of Mason High School, we’ve always felt a deep connection to our hometown and the people in it.

Carly Hoff leads daily operations at Mason Whippy Dip and also manages our sister locations — Chubby’s Whippy Dip in South Lebanon and The Dairy Point in Blanchester. Running an ice cream shop is a family affair, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
